The information below outlines our terms & conditions for our online shop. Information is specific to each of our suppliers.
Manufacturers Warranty Details (Specific for each supplier - see below)
Apex Expeditions Ltd - Sandbanks SUP Style Paddleboards
The boards are covered by a 36 month manufacturer warranty to be free from manufacturing defects. The paddles, pumps and other accessories are covered for 12 months. The warranty (legal warranty) is for the original purchaser only, and from the date of purchase. It only covers products used for normal recreational purposes. The warranty does no cover any puncture, cuts or abrasion sustained in normal use or damage from unreasonable uses or improper storage. Scratches and marks on the art work are also not covered by the warranty. If products are being used in a rental company or school the warranty is only 2 years (24 months).
If any product is found to be defective, the owner may return it to Apex Expeditions Ltd, who in turn will contact Sandbanks Style (the manufacturer), but only after the owner has first emailed to get authorisation, shipping and packing instructions and to discuss the defect. We will not refund or replace boards if this procedure is not followed.
After inspection, if any product is found defective, the manufacturer shall either repair or replace the defective part or item as deemed necessary by the manufacturer. The manufacturer shall not be held liable for any incidental or consequential damages. There are no warranties which extend beyond this description. This warranty is inclusive in lieu of all other warranties. This warranty gives you specific legal rights but does not affect your normal rights, which vary from country to country.
The main limitations to the application of the warranty are the following:
The product must not be modified or used in any activities outside normal recreational use (such as races, rental, professional usage in business, without written prior agreement)
Use in excess of the manufacturers recommended maximum load capacity
Pressure recommendations, assembly / disassembly and handling procedures must be strictly observed
The maintenance and storage procedures must not be neglected
This warranty does not cover parts and accessories not supplied or recommended by the manufacturer or defects resulting from the installation of such equipment on their products
Notice: All repairs covered by the warranty must be performed by the manufacturer.
All goods will be shipped within 3-5 business days of the order being placed. Please ensure that the parcel/s is signed for as UNCHECKED or the shipping insurance will become void.
Returns and Refunds
For goods received damaged in transit please ensure you email us pictures of the damage within 12 hours of receiving your goods to validate your claim.
Apex Expeditions Ltd will accept returns for undamaged goods provided:
a) we are notified in advance of the return
b) the goods are returned in the condition they are received
c) goods are returned within 28 days of receipt
In addition, you may cancel the contract at any time but no later than 14 days after the day you receive the product by:
1) Sending the notice of cancellation by email ensuring you quote your name, address and order reference number or
2) Where you have already received the goods, following our returns procedure - by contacting us by email. We will then advise you how to proceed with returning the item to us. The item must be wrapped securely and include the original delivery note. You must ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage, then you will be liable for the full value of the goods.
3) We will refund your credit/debit card or PayPal account once we have received and processed the item as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of the notice of cancellation.
You will be liable for any charges incurred in returning the goods to Apex Expeditions Ltd.
'Marketing emails' refers to any promotional email communication. The information transmitted in these emails is intended only for the person(s) or entity to which it is addressed and may contain proprietary, confidential and/or privileged material. We will only send marketing emails to those persons who have opted to receive them. You can withdraw your consent to receive marketing emails at any time using either the unsubscribe link on the bottom of each email or by contacting us directly. If you have received an email in error, please contact the sender. Although emails and any attachments are believed to be free of any virus, it is the responsibility of the recipient to ensure that they are virus free and no responsibility is accepted by the sender for any loss or damage arising in any way from the receipt or use thereof. Errors and omissions are excepted. Images are used for illustrative purposes only.
As a company
Apex Expeditions Ltd collects personal information from you during registration and ordering as well as contact made via email. We will keep this and any other information you give us so that we may personalise your service. If you do not want the information to be used in this way , then please indicate on the relevant form of email. None of this information will be supplied to any third parties other than the manufacturer for warranty purposes. The information is stored on both electronic and paper format and access to this information is restricted to only the person/s authorised.
We will collect personal information from you which should no usually include and 'sensitive personal data'. This information will however include your name, contact address, phone number and email address. If may also include a company name, position held and a fax number if relevant.
We will use this information for marketing purposes and to communicate with you regarding orders or enquiries relating to our products.
We will only send marketing emails if you have opted in to receive them. See the above section 'Marketing Emails' for further information.
We will not provide your information to third parties unless required to do so for the purpose of completing your transaction with us. This may be a credit reference agency, bank, payment portal, credit insurer or delivery carrier. This information is shared solely to provide a satisfactory level of service to the customer and to enable the completion of transactions.
Your personal data will be kept indefinitely where we believe there is a legitimate interest for us to do so.
As a customer
Where I/We provide you with personal data, I/we understand that the data will be held securely in confidence and processed for the purpose of carrying out your normal business and associated activities. In considering my/our application, I/we accept that you may consult with and disclose the data to credit reference agencies, banks, credit insurers and other responsible organisations outside your business that you have nominated, and that such third parties may process the data. I/We understand that under the Act I/we have a right to know what data you hold on me/us and if I/we apply to you in writing you will respond within one month detailing this.
I/We understand that I/we are entitled to have personal data deleted if required to do so if it is no longer needed or there is no longer a legitimate reason for processing the data.
